After a public information meeting held Aug. 27, the City’s contractor notified affected residences and businesses about the street closures. The 2014 Scrub & Micro-Surfacing Project will seal common street cracks and add new layers above treated surfaces to increase the service life of streets and reduce major maintenance operations. Each year, the Public Works Department performs digouts, micro-paving and base rock-and asphalt concrete-installations to ensure streets are well maintained in the city.
